we went out at 2030 tonight for a walk and ended up through the old fordoun airfield which seemed to upset a magpie and lapwing. we figure there must be nests nearby. a brief encounter with a pony was lovely but cut short when he spooked himself by letting his nose touch the electric fence- poor toot. paul had his trusty binos with him and they were well in use when I snapped this shot.
