Sunset From Catterlen

In the early afternoon me and Watson headed through to Longtown to get a Spray deck for his Kayak. Afterwards we decided to go to Kielder Water for a walk. Upon arrival out of curiosity we headed up to the space observatory, which was a long wooden building with two small viewing towers. It had a great view of the sky and the valley below. Though the light wasn't too great and the clouds were very bright, so I only got a few average exposures. I'll have to return at night.

This was taken not far from the M6, it has one of the best views of Blencathra if you can find a good spot with no trees in the way. For once I used Photoshop CS5's HDR Pro, it's okay for a natural looking finish but it doesn't cope as well as Photomatix when it comes to merging the images.
