A carpet of blue

This bluebell wood caught my eye as I was driving home either at the beginning of the week or at the end of last week (can't quite remember!). Today I both remembered to take my camera into work and had time to trek across the field to get a closer look.
As I first approached the light was fairly flat which I thought was typical on the day I'd managed to get there. However, after snooping around for a while the sun did make its way through the hazy cloud a bit more to brighten everything up.
It was so beautiful I didn't want to leave! :0)
