A great day in the hills
The weather forecast was good and the hills beckoned! Left Inverness at 6am and headed for Glenshee.
Fifteen miles, two munros (Glas Tulaichean and Carn an Righ) wonderful views from the summits, some patches of snow, quite a lot of peat bogs, aching muscles and sore feet : all the ingredients of a great day on the hills!
The only downside was a camera catastrophe : set up my little aim and shoot on the summit trig point for a "selfie". Sudden gust of wind caught it and it landed on the stone below with a sickening thud. Astonishingly it still seemed usable in spite of losing bits of the lens covering (today's blip was post-catastrophe) but the autofocus isn't working. Gutted ... it was a great wee camera. However ..... it's now on its way to a camera repair place in Edinburgh and I'm hopeful it can be fixed. Note to self : don't ever risk selfies in windy conditions!
Today's blip is one of the views from the summit of Glas Tulaichean.
