WHERE CONDORS SOAR
Each of the 80 Grand Canyon condors wears a unique number attached to each wing. Plus, he wears a radio tracking device.
Tonight our 'condor watch' included a camera crew from the BBC. They were assisted by a biology student who used an awkward metal antenna to locate any condors in our area.
We were hopeful when he honed in on three riding the canyon's thermals. But, they remained large specks in the sky. Teasing us by turning our direction, only to soar higher and away. Then returning to tease again.
Tomorrow, the BBC travels to Navajo Bridge, another condor 'watch spot'.

To witness these wondrous birds soaring above this magnificent part of the canyon. Well, that's an 'ooh-ahh moment' times two.
