Prepping the Garden: Self Portrait

The new raised bed was not done in time for Mother's Day, so my garden is not ready to plant. In the meantime, I decided to weed the old garden and plant the starter plants. The kids planted watermelon & pumpkin seeds with Connie. The old garden will be the perfect place for those plants to sprawl.

I used the tripod to try and get a photo of Mia and I gardening together, but the composition was bad so it ended up being just a picture of me. I have always loved the solitude of digging in the dirt, but I admit I truly enjoyed sharing it with my daughter today.
