Looking Southwest Before Moonrise
View looking down the valley, with clouds scudding their way across the sky. I think the bright star in the centre of the shot is Canopus, nearly 313 light years away.
I've been at home sick today, my chest still tight. The steroids seem to be working though, so hopefully I'll be feeling better for the weekend.
I had to wrap up very warm to grab this shot, even though this is just outside the gate, with a scarf covering my face to help me breathe in the cold crisp air. It's good to be back inside now, in front of the fire. We had a good frost this morning and by the feel of things we're due for another tomorrow.
