Duckling on the Edge of Lake Windermere
We drove our parents up to the Lake District today. The weather was just perfect, despite some drizzle before we set off.
It is many, many years since our parents were last there and it brought back memories from the past for them all.
A walk along the shore at Hawkshead, Afternoon Tea in Ambleside, a stroll around Keswick and a drive over the amazing Honniser Pass from Borrowdale (featured in my blip back in April) was the order of the day. A light supper on the way home finished the trip off nicely.
A lovely day in the most beautiful place in England.
