Durban Surfer

Arrived at Ballito beach and a few young surfers were making the most of 5 ft waves.
Shallow water and a strong rip but these locals knew the right spot for good waves and seemed pretty skilled as well.
I was hoping to hire a long board and have a go but not sure if I will as shallow break increases risk of breaking board. A surfer broke a board earlier in the day.
