St Mary's Church, Nether Alderley

A fascinating church built by the Stanley family. The gallery is one step beyond the private box pew, it has its own private entrance from the outside. (It is on the right had side and looks like a royal box).
Rector: The Rev. James Clark Milnes was a most interesting gentleman who was able to assist me in putting the world to rights.
Lunch in the Robin Hood in Rainow. There is a landlord change due, I hope that he is at least half as good as the present staff.
Altogether a pleasant day with weather to match.
