Pheasants turn up in my garden quite often.

The farm across the street breeds them for shooting, so when they hear the shotguns being cocked, the birds head for the nearby gardens. It's breeding season (so not shooting season) at the moment.

I think this chap got lost. He seemed to be trying to find a way out of the garden without flying...

I did think of inviting him for dinner, but it's out of season...
