Challacombe Down, Dartmoor

Looking down the Callacombe Valley this afternoon from Hookney Tor.

The white dots along the road are sheep and their new lambs

Along the side of Challacombe Down on the right you can see the hint of blue as the blue bells here come into bloom. The horizontal lines across the hill side are the remains of medieval field systems and in the bottom of the valley there are many remains of the tin mining that when on there
