Gristhorpe Ramble

After a morning of sorting out we tried a new walk combining part of the Wolds Way and the lower Carrs towards the village of Gristhorpe. Views towards File Brigg were rather disappointing being shrouded in mist.

Fortunately on the blip quest the village of Gristhorpe produced this beautiful cottage. The date stone says 1665 and underneath 1747 which I think is when it was rebuilt. I liked the Yorkshire sliding sashes which slide from side to side rather than the more common up and down.
