It's Smokin'...

With the departure of Naomi, the bee-whisperer, to southern apiaries, our poor honey bees were left in our less than capable care....
So with apparent bravado and more than a little making it up as we went along, we removed the feeder from the hive; installed the queen excluder and the super frames; replaced the crown board and porter bee escapes and finally put the roof back on!

There, at least I sound like I know what I'm doing...

Oh I forgot, we lit the smoker.

All this was achieved with only Bailey getting stung
