Luke's Story

Part of being involved with a local church is the home groups that meet on a regular basis....in these groups we shall meet together to catch up with friends, enjoy a coffee or two, pray together and also study God's Word..The Bible.

We have just started a new series looking at a book in the New Testament called Luke. Simply it is his account of Jesus' life here on earth.

Luke starts of the book by stating that he wanted to gather all the information that he could about Jesus and collate them together in one manuscript - "An honest and trustworthy account" he writes ...... to his friend Theophilus.

We can read many things in out life time but what do we consider to be those that we believe to be true - do certain newspapers grab our attention for the truth....or just a bit of speculation and "slightly bending" of the truth. Do we go to certain websites and know that it is a "Trust Worthy" account of what has been written??

And many folk will not believe either that the bible is relevant for today or even that it is a true account of what has happened all those years ago.

I believe it to be true - I may not understand it all and some bits of it still confuse me....but Luke's account of Jesus' life here on earth...well I will enjoy reading it, discussing it and Yes I believe it to be an

"Honest and Trustworthy Account!!"
