Time

... a lot of it has passed since this petrol pump was last used. S spotted it, and he's a well-trained blip assistant because he immediately pulled over without my even asking. I'm glad he did because it's the only blip candidate for today.

We are nothing if not thorough, so today we felt duty-bound to test the restaurant in Narbonne where we'll be lunching with Connections and Pilipo next week. Not that we'd picked it at random, but we haven't eaten there for a couple of years. We also took the opportunity to invite Uncle J and Aunt B to join us; they are connoisseurs, as they ran a restaurant themselves when they lived in the UK, and this is one of their favourites in Narbonne.

It was a lovely day and we were able to take a table outside, on the terrace. Although the restaurant is in central Narbonne, it's on a small, mostly traffic-free square, so it's quiet and fume-free. We had a delicious meal, with special mention to the local lamb three of us had as our main course, and it was nice to have a leisurely chat in the sunshine. We were still chatting when all the local office workers got up and hurried off to their desks for an afternoon's toil -- very gratifying!

We dropped J and B off and then headed home. Encountering a massive tailback on the Nationale, we swiftly did an about-turn and diverted to the scenic route which I've blipped before. But S decided to vary it with a detour through Bizanet ... which is where we found my blip for the day.
