Weekend visitors

The Skeena Queen arrives from Victoria with visitors for our long weekend. The weather was sunny enough for shorts and short sleeve shirt but the wind and intermittent cloud cover made me doubt my choice while waiting for our daughter to get off the ferry.

Looking around at the other passengers there were people in shorts, flip flops and t-shirts, but also those in fleeces or warm jackets. Holiday weekends are traditionally expected to be cold and rainy, so there's enough caution in the dress department.

We went on from the ferry terminal to Salt Spring Ales and the cheese shop, then lunch in Ganges. A great start to what's going to be a nice visit.
