More blossoms

This is the Eastern Redbud tree in our yard. The pink/purple flowers cover the tree before the leaves come in. You can buy them in nurseries but they also grow "wild" in the woods.

We had very heavy rain last night and strong winds. There were flash flood warnings all over, but I didn't hear about any actual flooding. However there were quite a few places where trees fell over and knocked down electric wires or blocked roads. Today was rainy, but it was a light rain.

We went to a nearby nursery and bought two trees. Mr M has quite a love of trees and we have an interesting collection. We're limited to the kinds that will thrive in our climate, and can survive windy cold winters, but fortunately for him, there are many that meet those requirements. Unfortunately for me, the more trees he buys, the longer it takes me to mow the lawn because I have that many more trees to mow around. Oh well.
