Room with a View - Montsalvat

Today we had a blipmeet with Nevermore and the Rosewarnes at Montsalvat. The Monsalvat complex is an artist colony in Eltham, (outside Melbourne, Victoria) established by Justus Jorgensen in 1934. It is home to over a dozen buildings, houses, galleries and halls, set amongst richly established gardens on 48,562 m2 of land.

To those of our blip friends in the greater Detroit area, it is roughly similar to Cranbrook Art Museum in Bloomfield Hills.

This room with a view appeared to have been built on what was once a water tank, which possibly now houses an internal ladder to the room on the top.

Seen better in large.

It was a fabulous day meeting with some wonderful people, and sharing our blip experiences and other points of shared interest. Mr R is a great Hawthorn supporter and I follow The Crows, so it was fun chatting about our love of AFL footy.
