Hector

This is my new friend, Hector.

Now, you would expect to be a male, with a name like that, but, no. Hector is a female! She is also blind in her left eye and is at least 13 years old!

When she was found, her owner (Vasilis, the guy that owns the apartments I'm staying in) said he didn't think to check whether she was a boy or girl and just named her Hector. In a funny way, I quite like her name. It suits her, somehow.

Anyhow, she's currently curled up by my feet whilst I sit here admiring the sea-view, reading and eating lunch. And no, she doesn't sit there with big doggy eyes looking for food! She's very well trained and is just snoozing.

I'm just saddened that I may never meet her again, after this holiday, as she is a very old lady now.... :-/
