A poignant day

Darren found this swift by the car and we've been trying to give him water and meal worm. In the end we took him to Tiggywinkles animal hospital to make sure that he got the food he needed to get strong enough to fly.
Then up to Doncaster for Alastair Campbell's mum's funeral. Betty was a wonderful lady full of love and laughter, she used to write to me to tell me not too work too hard! She will be very much missed, but she had 88 wonderful years and she went very quickly at the end, which had been her fervent wish. The funeral was lovely, strictly to her instructions including this verse which Alastair found in her "funeral folder" with the strict instructions "to go on the back of the hymn sheet".
