Saturday sunny Saturday

Today is so far a good day. I got the food shop done early this morning. The weather is fabulous and I can study outside for a few more hours before it disappears.

I have weeded the jungle of tall weeds growing around the front door and swept all traces of winter from the steps so the place doesn't look too abandoned now. I have dug up a small flower bed, removed brambles and planted about 30 of my sunflowers out. They look very dejected and floppy at the moment despite giving them a good watering so I'll have to wait and see whether I've messed up by moving them at a hot part of the day. It's a weight off my mind to have moved them from their overcrowded pots anyways.

My chapter 5 should be sorted by the end of tonight and the rest of the day will be spent sorting that out and looking after my neck/back which is feeling rather delicate today (more so since the weeding...oooppss). This picture shows MrH pressure washing the verandah, this makes me happy as there is a good chance it may get a coat of decking oil this weekend which is about 2 years overdue and may stop the thing from rotting away....we'll see....
