Hello you!

Got home this afternoon to find this lil fella hiding behind our front wall. S/he's a young 'un for sure but such is my complete lack of ornithological knowledge I don't know what it is. Blackbird? Starling? Crow? Don't be ridiculous.

I was a bit worried it was hurt since when I moved closer (sloooowly and quieeeetly) the lil fella didn't move away. Eventually though after I took this little pic (thankee birdee) it did hop up onto our garden wall and then fly off over the road.

Got the impression it was an early flight, if not inaugural. Learning the ropes right there in front of me. Nice.
