Wild Garlic, Georges Hayes Nature Reserve

This idylic glade is an absolute treasure. It lies at the edge of Cannock Chase but away from most of the popular haunts.

I visited early, and was reminded of it the rest of the day as the car was filled with the evocative smell of garlic.
