Cinnamon Swirl Snail.

There were torrential downpours yesterday so the snails were out in the garden. I found this chap* all sealed up because today is dry (*bearing in mind that snails are hermaphrodite...). Having posed him on a railing for Blipper comfort, I got my picture and then the breeze blew him onto the ground. When I retrieved the shell I got "snailed" with some foul-smelling goo. That'll teach me. I used the Summicron 50mm Dual Range lens for this photo, but with an extension tube which renders fabulous magnification but very little depth of field.
