The owners of the apartment have left a folder full of info and recommended a secluded beach with some great caves for little boys and their dads to explore. The beach was a good 15 min walk down a bumpy track. We could have got the buggy down there in hindsight but didn't take it. Eva was insistent on walking it yelling 'down down' every time we picked her up and then wanting 'up, up' every time she fell over on the loose rocks. She seems to have learnt so many new words just this week and fully understands what you say to her. Mike has been negotiating with her to try and get her to wear her hat as she refuses to have it on for even a minute. On the beach they had an agreement that she would wear her hat if he kept walking down to the water to fill her bucket for her to pour in the moat round her sandcastles. She kept it on but as soon as he had had enough and sat down she threw her hat on the floor! She really knew when the bargain was up!

It was well worth the walk though as it was a stunning spot. The colours of the sea weed in contrast with the turquoise sea was just something else.

Tobes enjoyed a naturist paddle in the sea and poking about on the rocks. Eva just wanted to make a bid for freedom and cuddle a aylesbury duck which appeared from nowhere -bit random in a sea cove. We had a picnic in the trees but had to pass on cave exploration as they were way up on the cliff face with a narrow rocky path up to them. Way too dangerous with two little people but they did look fun to explore.

We spent the afternoon at Es Grau beach which is quite shallow so easier with the children for paddling. Son Bou has quite a steep shelf and can get quite rough. Still very windy but we headed to the far end of the beach and sat behind a big rock to shelter from the wind and T&E had lots of fun making sand boat with their daddy whilst I had a snooze. There was a lovely bar there and we sat out having beers and ice cream for the children before heading back.

Spent the evening at the beach bar in Son Bou having a cocktail whilst T&E played on the beach.
