The Spanish origins

You can't go to La Rioja & not visit monasteries...especially Suso & Yuso @ San Millan de la Cogolla, UNESCO buildings & where the first words & sentences of Spanish as language appeared (also of Vasc language...although I thought it was ironic that the first record of Vasc language wasn't in the Vasc Country...).
Word of warning...no visits in English & when I asked it looked as if I was asking something out of this world...was told that we had to go with the guide & to be quiet...so wasn't allowed to translate to the non spanish speakers...hum I don’t think so lady...
