Deer among the dead

Linda and I stopped by to visit her mother's grave at Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto. Nearby was a small herd of four white-tailed deer happily munching on violets in the lawn, nearby shrubbery, and on potted blooms such as pansies. Linda also blipped one of these deer munching on a pot of pansies.

Among the notables buried here is musician and singer Jeff Healey who is a cousin to my wife's younger sister's children. I got to meet Jeff at their grandmother's funeral. Kind of a weird place to meet somebody like that but we had a pleasant chat on the sofa, mostly about music and family. He was a fabulous musician taken too soon.
