Jeff and Mutt

I loved the contrast of these two men back to back - age, culture, posture and so on. It was a day full of this and that to include finding what I hope is the perfect birthday present for my daughter to be presented at breakfast tomorrow morning. The more adult they become the more challenging is the right gift!

And had a walk with the dear friend who since December has had emergency appendectomy, then hysterectomy that was 7 hour long surgery, which resulted as it turns out in blood clots in leg misdiagnosed as sciatica which led to pulmonary embolism with all the serious bells and whistles. She is recovering - but my God how a healthy person can suddenly become a walking catastrophe in short order! We are vulnerable!
