Legoland

Girls up at ridiculous o'clock. Took the baby to daycare as we were spending the day at legoland up in Carlsbad.

A cooler day thankfully. But still warm and sunny. We got one pair of tickets free from the girl's dad as he got them for buying new tires for his truck. The other I found online for free kid with adult ticket. Still $83 though. The thing that annoys me nowadays is that all these big attractions force you to pay for parking. $15! You've paid to get in the place. Now they have a captive audience they stick it to you again.

Legoland was fun on the whole. Plenty of rides (more so than of lego models - like the New York scene blipped). I've actually been to the original one in Denmark as a kid way back and from what I remember (perhaps with rose tinted glasses) they models were better and more numerous. Still - the girls had fun in the water ones and roller coasters. Ice cream for lunch too!

We stayed from opening at 10am to closing around 5:30pm and the girls were pooped. Picked up an equally pooped doggy on the way home and rustled up some dinner (don't think the kids ate anything "normal" all day - oh well they are not our kids). Settled down to watch the kids movie bolt and then got the girls ready for a (hopefully) early night. Off load them tomorrow....phew!
