Horses
Horses are huge and scary.
We walked into a field with a public footpath sign. There were horses in the field. They stopped eating grass when they saw us and stood there, watching.
The lighter one started walking towards us. I hid behind Mr Pandammonium as the horse trapped us at the fence. The other horse followed.
It turned out they didn't want to trample us but just wanted some attention. Mr Pandammonium stroked the lighter one, which returned his affection by head-butting him. It didn't hurt him, but he was knocked off balance a little.
We escaped from the fence and walked to the end of the field and collected some long horse hairs caught on a tree branch. The path seemed to end there, so we turned back. The horses stopped eating the grass near the fence. After watching us for a moment, they started walking towards us again.
The lighter horse stuck its nose in my armpit. While I was distracted by how soft its muzzle was, the darker one sneaked up behind me. I jumped when I saw it. I stroked them both, telling them what nice horses they were. I was hoping they wouldn't bite me or trample me or squash me or anything.
The one with its face in my pit snorted. Horses have very warm breath. It snorted again, then it leapt away, snuffling and rubbing its nose on its foreleg. The other one got a fright and jumped away as well. I blame my deodorant.
