THE LONG WALK

...... to the taxi at 4:30am.

My neighbour has phoned but remains in hospital, and as it is the weekend we doubt to hear anything to the contrary today. I wish I'd thought to pack her knitting in her bag, but I did remember a thick book.

I thought I would fall fast asleep when I hit the pillow this morning but managed barely a wink, my mind would not shut down. Maybe I'll nod off this afternoon, hopefully.
