The Blue Pool

This is the Blue Pool at Torwood which I wandered to today with a friend after checking out Torwood Castle, both places even many local people don't know exist. I led my friend in the complete wrong direction looking for the blue pool because it isn't signposted or anything despite being quite impressive (and blue-ish). It's apparently 4m deep. Which is quite deep. And the castle is old, ruined, but pretty and full or wheelbarrows (weirdly). Apparently refurbishment went on around 1950 then suddenly stopped and no one knows why.

Fresh air and sort of sunshine (but really windy when we were wandering) was nice.
