First view of Iona

Dear Diary,

A long journey today, mostly in rain, but on the ferry ride to Iona the rain stopped and this is the view I had coming in. It is such a beautiful place! Already I feel as if I've stepped away from the world into a serene and spiritually charged landscape. I'm staying at the St. Columba Inn. It will be an early dinner and bed for me today and tomorrow I will beginning exploring this thinnest of thin places.
