ROWING the equivalent of the width of the Atlantic has boosted Scarborough RNLI’s Supacat appeal by £2,500. About 120 enthusiastic people used 30 Concept 2 rowing machines placed in the lifeboathouse on 13 April. The fundraising effort was organised by Scarborough Rowing Club, which is just across Foreshore Road. The club raised £5,000 in total and will use its half to buy more rowing machines for its growing junior membership.
