Enforced Paddle

Quiet morning at home, catching up with a few bits and pieces. BB requested a picnic in the garden for lunch. I put a few plates with bits and pieces outside, but that didn’t please him. “That’s not a picnic – it’s just lunch in the garden” he said!! I’m still not quite sure what his expectations were.

Went to Belhaven Beach this afternoon. Lovely wander, but I am no match for daddy when it comes to kicking a football! Much unhappiness at my hopelessness. We saw a couple of people swimming in the sea – I imagine it was quite chilly. We then had an enforced paddle as the tide was coming in and the bridge over the Biel Burn was beginning to be cut off. Socks and shoes off and we paddled to the bridge. BB was delighted with this and proceeded to go back and forth paddling to his hearts delight. We were a little late picking daddy up from the station!

Here he is back at the flooded part, as the water gets deeper!
