Greasy Cogs
Out on a walk earlier today along the Coventry canal between Lichfield and Fradley Junction. Glorious weather and scenery.
I was watching a canal boat disappearing down one of the locks - everyone was concentrating on the boat when I spotted the machinery supporting the whole process...the lock cogs themselves. These simple bits of metal are critical to the whole process and umpteen holidays across the canal network.
