A very busy, non-stop day today! I went to work this morning, then decided to go to Columbia Road Flower Market after to buy some more plants for the garden. I didn't get there until about 2.00, so thought it might be finished, with just the odd petal left on the floor, but it was as busy as ever and extremely hot pushing through the crowds. There were so many beautiful plants there that I was tempted to buy, but I had to remind myself that I'm not an octopus and had to carry them back through Shoreditch (where I took this photo, by the way of this very impressive artwork...no idea who the chap is, he was posing for another 'blipper') then walk to London Bridge to get the train back to Greenwich, so allowed myself a couple of carrier bags full! Was very pleased with my flower, bargain purchases though!
I popped them in their new homes, then did a bit of fence and bench painting.

The garden is definitely looking a lot less jungle-like now after lots of planting/chopping/pulling swearing yesterday. It's definitely worth all the cuts, scratches, spiders crawling up the arms and fence paint in the eye and can't wait for it all to dry so I can enjoy spending evenings sitting outside in the candlelight, reading until it gets dark (I must get that outside light up and working!) the smell of citronella (those naughty mossies again) listening to the blackbirds singing, looking out for bats, watching the stars appear...and staying out there far too long in a blanket, pretending it's still warm!
