Rocket fuel

Crikey....

Opened a bottle of the red cider this afternoon, and tried some of it after mopping up following the explosion.

To say it was fizzy was an understatement.
Lost at least the top inch out of the bottle as it just fizzed everywhere.

The red food colouring was added so I could differentiate between the good stuff and the possibly bad stuff.

Whilst the good stuff went straight into bottles the rest went into cardboard boxes (with an inner bag).

Unfortunately they had not stopped fermenting, and I had to rescue them from the bags, and get them into some bottles.

I added some food colouring, and a spoonful of sugar ( to help make it sweet ).

Now it was around 10% alcohol when it went in the bags; but it kept fermenting; and then fermented a lot more in the bottle.

Needless to say I've no idea how strong this finished product was; but it wiped me out for the rest of the day.

Didn't taste too bad; but not as nice as the first batch!
