Good long ride round the Beacon this morning. Just me and Lime, catching up after my week away. Sure he had a sulky face on when I went down to the field as if our say 'where have you been?'.
This afternoon we went to TLC's memorial service. TLC is am amazing place that helped to get us through some very dark days after losing Henry. It was nice to see Kathy again and she had a big smile on her face when she saw Tobes and Eva. They arranged a beautiful service with readings and a choir. Everyone lit a candle for the children they have lost and all the names of those being remembered were read out. It's still so hard to hear "Henry Jack Thomas" out loud in that setting, as though everyone else hearing his name and us being there makes it more real somehow.
Mikes folks up visiting A&K and still not seen their new house so we popped over afterwards for a quick catch up. Love the new house and teensy bit jealous of the space they have and the field out the back, which is crying out for a horse on it!! Then rushing about sorting the walk schedules for next week, banking, interview questions for tomorrow etc and collecting the van from Fiona. T&E still on holiday time so gone 9pm by time both asleep. Looking forward to getting the pups back tomorrow. Been over 2 weeks. The house is way too quiet without them.
Saw our next door neighbour tonight. Some thieving pykies tried to pinch our garden gate while we were away because they 'saw it there and thought we didn't want it??!'. Can't trust anyone these days. They'd have probably got about 25p for it as scrap too. Luckily he caught them in time.
