Homage

Went hiking at Sugarloaf Mountain.
Sugarloaf Mountain has been designated a Registered Natural Landmark because of its geological interest and striking beauty. It is operated by a non-profit organization "for the public's enjoyment and education in an appreciation of natural beauty."

Just before reaching the highest point of the trail, you pass this always evolving sort of sculpture made of little rocks and pebbles that hikers built over the years by adding one at the time. I always pick one rock on the trail to make my contribution and pay homage to the beauty of the park.
