Big Head

Identification Eristalinus megacephalus.

This is a hover fly that I have seen in Indonesia. Comparing the images it is very close, other than slight color variation and patternation. It is a syrphidae (hoverfly) eristalinus for certain, as for megacephalus (big head), well I would say so, but you never know what the scientists have put down, with their desire to attach names to new species.
