CannyScot's Day

Encore!

I know I said two days ago that the Dwarf rhoddy image was 'last in the series'. But think of this appearance as more of an encore from the entire cast. I am so pleased with the way this bush has turned out, especially as it was my very own gift to the garden. All the other gifts to the garden are provided by my wife Eleanor, who just can't seem to get the green off her fingers.

This is an early blip because it is going to be a very busy day. We have the Dentist in the morning and then I have Children's Panel all afternoon. It will be particularly challenging for me since, because of various unusual circumstances, I will be the only member of the Panel who has been trained to chair Hearings. This means chairing three very difficult family discussions, with Social Workers and school reports being taken into account.
It is highly unusual for a situation like this to arise but , if you can chair one, you can chair three.

I hope you all had a good weekend. My preaching to Uganda didn't happen because the network connection kept dropping every three of four minutes. It was very disappointing, since I had been looking forward to preaching about Baptism. The church is having a Baptismal service this Saturday in one of the local rivers. They have to wait some time before the river is full enough but they had some good rains and they are 'good to go' with 15 men, women and young people showing their commitment to Christ. It should be very moving and I am promised a video of at least some of them being baptised by total immersion.

Have a good day of work or leisure.
