LOOK BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN SEE!

Had to come up to the bank because I've run out of money - I didn't buy that ring though, Mr HCB will be pleased to know - and popped into Boscanova, a little café opposite the bank that specialises in good coffee and interesting food.

It is an eclectic cafe as you can see from the photograph - how many cafés do you know that hang their checks on a bicycle wheel?

I had already taken a photograph of this but then Luke walked in! You all know me by now - realising that he worked here, I asked him if he would mind being my blip for today and after explaining what that meant, he was happy to pose. What a lovely lad!! He told me he came down to Bournemouth when his girlfriend moved here and had been working at Boscanova for 4 years.

We had quite a chat about tattoos and piercings and how it was important to look beyond these to see the "real" person. He said that he had recently shaved his head so being a guy with piercings and tattoos not many people bothered him, which was great in one way except when he needed help, then it wasn't so good!!

When we chatted further, Luke told me his mum lives in Guernsey - what a coincidence!

I hope Mr HCB is enjoying the cricket today - and more importantly, hope his team is winning!

There's nothing wrong with enjoying looking at the surface of the ocean itself, except that when you finally see what goes on underwater, you realize that you've been missing the whole point of the ocean. Staying on the surface all the time is like going to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent.
