The new rubbish bins, or is it resource bins?
Today at work was not a day I would want to remember and the weather was less photogenic than it has been so I decided the new bins would be today's blip!
The local council has decided that food waste should also be recycled, and while they were at it, they would try to raise the proportion of recycled "rubbish" even higher. So if we wanted we could choose these new bins. They would mean we could avoid collecting our recycling and then dropping it off at a center on the way to work. Instead we drop it straight into our bins at home.
In bin 1, from back left to front right is paper packaging, all plastics, metal and clear glass. In bin 2 we leave food waste, burnable rubbish, coloured glass, and paper.
Bin 1 is emptied every four weeks and bin 2 every two weeks.
If you find this photo a bit boring you could check out the two backblips that preceded this one, from 17 May and 18 May, or the macro photographs on my Flickr from the last couple of days, here and here, plus a smattering of other photos on my Flickr.
