Not the Chelsea Flower Show
Until recently, this site was occupied by the old Science block at school. Now, since the building has been demolished and the site cleared, they have started landscaping the area.
The process has consisted of moving huge mounds of clay soil around from one part of the site to another and then back again with, initially, no clear purpose. Now they seem to have settled on a couple of mountains of clay, which they have covered with topsoil. They have then dug out 9 or 10 large holes, lined them with what looks like plastic sheeting, and today they have inserted trees into the holes.
I am sure it will all look very nice when finished, but the process does seem to have been a bit random and indecisive. I shall probably blip the end result, but that won't be for another month or so.
I'm sure the garden designers at the Chelsea Flower Show are a lot quicker and more purposeful in their creations.
