Serene streets

The day before the big event and we were now resident in a very nice hotel not far from my brother's apartment so he could panic in peace. There was a strange calm about the Saturday morning streets and I was able to capture a few shots in welcome abandonment. During the week this is a very busy office block.
We spent the afternoon catching up with our friends from Malaysia who had arrived en masse for the wedding. We seemed to take over a section of the Ueno Park with our entourage and proceeded to draw quizzical looks as the kids bonded over the shared excitement of an over enthusiastic water fountain and some very audacious pigeons. Much fun and food was had. So much so that we were a little late returning to meet Rie's parents who had been waiting at my brother's apartment but they didn't seem to mind. The Big Day is almost upon us!
