Hello

Found this snake (Northern Water Snake) in the wide part of the stream that runs through our pasture. This is the same part of the stream where I blipped the blob of frog eggs (here). I have been watching the blob and could see the very small tadpoles inside the blob, waiting to break free. I first saw this snake yesterday and wondered where the blob had gone - tonight Mr M mentioned that the snake probably ate them, and he must be right.

Pretty day but chilly. Also had a late afternoon rain shower.

Good news though - found out my oldest nephew became engaged to be married. Very exciting - they're both great people. Looking forward to the wedding next summer!
