Fishing Pond

The oystercatcher was keeping guard on the island, protecting his own mate and young and the Goldeneye and her two remaining ducklings. She had three last week. The pond was emptied last summer and refilled and restocked by the fishermen. I didn't think the wildlife would be back so quickly, but there are frog and toad tadpoles. Hoping the dragonfly and damselflies will emerge.
