Dougal
It looks as though butter would not melt in his mouth, unfortunately if you think that then you would be wrong.
Last night when the builders left they said ‘see you tomorrow’ and ‘we will clear the rest of that area’. When the steel workers left, they said ‘see you in the morning’; neither lot turned up today. These are supposed to be good people and were highly recommended; I wonder what less recommended folks would be like? If they are not coming then why do they not let us know? A text would suffice.
Because we were expecting workers to turn up this morning, I moved my car, in the rain, at 0630 hours; Dougal and Florence were kept in. The tarpaulin over the kitchen roof had not been secured and at 0630 hours the rain came pouring in; we were ready with buckets and bowls!
The GOG had an Addenbrookes hospital appointment this afternoon and just as he went out, Dougal shot out of the door nearly knocking him over; it took me five minutes to bribe him to come in again. (Dougal, not the GOG.)
The builders should be coming tomorrow, the steel workers are not; I wonder who will turn up?
